I was there 6 nights for a conference near Heian shrine. Location was reasonably convenient for my conference. The hotel is not fancy, and the staff only speak a little english (but we got by OK). My room although small and with a view of a carpark was comfortable and had everything I needed. There's a supermarket over the road and a Lawson's convenience store less than 5 mins walk to your right as you go out the entrance (good option for an ATM). I didn't use the restaurant, or the public bath house (my Japanese friend said the bath house was fine except that the lights were too bright). Aircon and wifi were fine unlike the reports from other reviewers.

Julia

Very convenient location, bus stop right outside with lots of buses that go all over the city. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Black out curtains so got a good night sleep. Comfortable room and very clean. Picked the random room option and got a twin.

Sarah

Great place to stay for Shabbat in Kyoto. Across the street from the Beit Chabad. Almost no Shabbat issues. All the other hotels in the area are impossible to stay for Shabbat.

David

I liked the restaurant that was attached to the hotel which had very good food there. They offer a free shuttle bus that got us to Kyoto Station from the hotel.

Victor

The staff is very friendly. Reception is opened 24h. Room was very clean with good air conditioning. Nice and quiet place.
